In June, Edinburgh CAAT volunteers Kate, Melanie, Jessie and David worked together to deliver two sessions on the global arms trade to 250 students as part of James Gillespie’s High School sustainability course.
We talked about global conflicts, the impact and scale of the global arms trade, moral questions and transitioning jobs in arms manufacturing into jobs in renewables. The students were extremely receptive and engaged, and had great questions and comments for the team.
